Renowned as Houston’s top-call bassist, David Craig has performed, recorded and toured with the best. A who’s-who of Jazz greats including; Dizzy Gillespie, Arnette Cobb, James Moody, Ritchie Cole, Bob Moses, Herb Ellis, Kenny Werner, Louis Perdomo, Art Lande, Bob Dorough, Tom Harrell, Conrad Herwig, Randy Brecker, Billy Harper, Marvin Stamm, Diane Schurr, Debbie Boone, Michael Feinstein, Bernadette Peters, Neil Sedaka, Charlie Byrd, Ingrid Jensen, Franc Amsellem and Tal Farlow.

A graduate of Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA), under the direction of Dr. Robert Morgan, David now shares his knowledge as a respected bassist, composer and educator. Many of his students, graduates of HSPVA themselves, have gone on to successful music careers in New York City and other parts of the country.

A champion of the Houston Jazz community, David writes, records and plays original compositions with an individualistic, modern style. Many of which are performed or accompanied by fellow Houston Jazz artists.
